The art of calm.

Roberta Hoiness is a contemporary artist who paints from her home studio within the calm & quiet of the Canadian prairies. Using a palette of organic earth tones and many shades of blue, Roberta likes to paint the “feeling” of a place rather than the details. Her calm, contemplative landscapes are "gently abstract", allowing others to interpret, and connect to the art in their own personal way. As a wife and mother of three, she holds a deep appreciation for the connection we share with the land and places that make us feel "at home". She aspires to reflect these feelings of calm, comfort, belonging & gratitude in her art.

This print is so lovely in person. I own several of Roberta’s pieces and love them all. Her work evokes a sense of peace and calm that’s difficult to express. I feel so fortunate to have her beautiful work in my home. Not only is her art beautiful, but her packaging and presentation is exceptional. Roberta is very kind and so responsive to questions. This print is absolutely beautiful. Roberta was lovely to deal with and shipped the picture safely and quickly. This is a lovely abstract landscape, calming and peaceful. I purchased the three 8x10's to go over my bed, with the colours complimenting a new paint job and duvet cover. The image is actually 7x9 on 8x10 paper, so slightly smaller than expected, but the size should be okay with the mat and frame I have chosen. The prints were sent promptly and very well packaged.
